Marquette, MI Marquette, MI Full-time Full-time $39,770 - $59,654 a year $39,770 - $59,654 a year 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago POSITION PURPOSE The Business Analyst aligns technology resources with business needs, combining strong computer, analytical, and people skills with a broad understanding of the inner workings and dependencies of all functional areas of the Credit Union.
Focusing on lending and core systems, this position participates in identifying technology related problems or opportunities, ensuring the successful implementation of new systems or processes to address those problems or opportunities, maintaining those systems ongoing as necessary, and providing end user training and support to promote overall organizational success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assist in the support, maintenance, and configuration of key business systems and processes, including loan origination and loan servicing systems, core processing, online and mobile banking, reporting, etc.
Translates business requirements into technical requirements, formulates and defines system objectives based on organizational and user needs.
Makes appropriate recommendations for modifications and improvements.
Manage and coordinate a variety of projects and implementations across departments.
Continually assess existing systems and processes for opportunities for improvement.
Identify, analyze, and recommend new solutions and adapt existing solutions to accommodate changing business needs.
Provide application support to end users, assisting and training staff and troubleshooting errors.
Act as key liaison with critical third-party vendors, developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Project activities are timely and completed in accordance with established quality standards, procedures and budget requirements.
Related documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
Status of systems, projects, and compliance are well communicated in a timely manner to all stakeholders.
Actively promotes team building and teamwork, collaborating with all departments, creating shared ownership, and building up coworkers and departments to help them achieve their goals.
Maintains positive working relationships with outside vendors.
Reviews vendor performance according to organizational needs, holds vendor accountable to contractual commitments, and communicates any areas of concern to Executive Team.
Promptly and courteously responds to end user issues, delivering great service and proactively identifying and following through on training opportunities.
Systems are online and functioning as intended, with internal resources and outside vendors being engaged appropriately to promptly resolve any issues or outages and prevent repeat events.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Two years of experience in financial institutions.
Experience with lending is preferred.
Required Knowledge:
Basic proficiency with Symitar Strong knowledge of financial services products, including lending and lending products.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to manage and coordinate a project, working with end users, vendors, and multiple departments to deliver outstanding results.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem solving and investigative skills.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and direct others.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer and telephone systems.
Strong teaching and coaching skills.
Willingness to assist others.

Active work; standing, reaching, kneeling, stooping, bending and manipulating small and large objects most of the time.
Requires occasional lifting (>25 lbs).
