This position is located at the Marquette Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Marquette, MI. The Marquette CBOC is part of the Nursing & Patient Care Service and Primary Care Service Division. Service provided at the Marquette CBOC is limited to primary outpatient service with a variety of telehealth specialties.
DUTY SCHEDULE: Primarily days Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm. However, occasional evening or weekends may be required on an as needed basis.
The Registered Nurse (RN) assigned to the CBOC is responsible for the day to day operation of the clinic which includes patient assessments, telephone triage and referrals for patients that require hospitalization or other examinations in Iron Mountain and other VISN Medical Facilities. In addition, the nurses do EKGs and phlebotomy services as required for their patients. The RN possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting. This broad based clinical knowledge enables the RN to effectively implement health promotion and prevention interventions, manage acute and chronic illness states, assist veterans in the attainment of optimal levels of functioning through rehabilitation, and provide supportive measure for the dying patient and their significant others.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizen.
Graduated from school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency, and accredited by an approved accrediting body (NLNAC, CCNE) at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Foreign graduates must have a CGFNS Certificate in order to receive credit as a BSN.
Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a registered nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia. (You must include your registration number and expiration date with your submitted application documents).
Proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C.402(d) and 7407(d).
Applicant''s education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. Experience as a RN will be evaluated to determine if the experience is of an acceptable level of quality with regard to the following four dimensions of nursing: Practice, Professional Development, Collaboration and Scientific Inquiry. Each dimension of practice has criteria that demonstrate essential core competencies for VHA Nursing Personnel. The criteria are as follows: Practice: practice, ethics and resource utilization, Professional Development: performance, education/career development, Collaboration; collaboration, collegiality, Scientific Inquiry: quality of care, research.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, no experience.
Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of experience, or an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor''s degree in a related field and no experience; or a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) and no experience.
Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of experience, or an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelors degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of experience; or a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of experience, or a Master''s degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no experience.
Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of experience, or ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelors degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years experience or a Master''s degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 years experience, or a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no experience.
Nurse III - Master''s degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 years experience or Doctoral degree in nursing or related field and approximately 2-3 years experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
